The ideal solution to live like a local and enjoy Slovenia in complete freedom.
RENTAL: THE CHOICE OF SLOVENIANS
Apartment rentals are the most widespread form of accommodation in Slovenia. Whether through Airbnb, Booking.com or local platforms, the supply is plentiful and the quality generally excellent. Slovenian property owners are renowned for their hospitality and the care they put into their properties.
For stays of more than 3 nights, it's the most economical and practical option. Most apartments have a fully equipped kitchen, which allows you to enjoy local markets and cook fresh Slovenian products. A considerable advantage, especially for families.
Prices vary considerably depending on location and season. A studio in central Ljubljana costs €50-80/night, while a lake-view apartment in Bled can reach €150/night in high season. Outside tourist areas, prices drop to €25-40/night for equally comfortable accommodation.

PRACTICAL TIPS
Platforms
Airbnb and Booking.com dominate the market. Compare both — prices often differ. For long stays, contact property owners directly to negotiate.
Check-in
Slovenia requires tourist registration. Your host will ask for an ID upon arrival — this is normal and legal. Key codes are common.
Amenities
WiFi, washing machine and equipped kitchen are the norm. Air conditioning is less common — check if it's important for you in summer.
Parking
Always ask if parking is included. In Ljubljana city center, it's rarely the case. Budget for public parking (€8-15/day).
