Ideas for visits: The village of Olimje

16 January 2013 1 min read

Small village of Olimje is situated in the East of Slovenia, by the Croatian border. In the centre of the village you will find a monastery from the 13th century and a church, with a gold and black baroque altar (17th – 18th century). In the castle tower, visitors will find a pharmacy, enriched with frescos, which is one of the oldest preserved monastic pharmacies in Europe. Today the monastery is inhabited by the Minorite Brothers.

To visit nearby: Home made chocolate boutique, Fairy Tale land, Deer Crest, Thermal Spa Olimia.

Slovenia Activity Holidays suggests to spend your holidays in Thermal Spa Olimia.
