Festival of Tastes 2013, the biggest gourmet and culinary event in the region, that has started on 13th September in Croatia, is moving on 24th September to Slovenia. The festival is supported all together by more than 300 restaurants including caterers, gourmet shops, bookshops and street shops in Slovenia, Croatia as well as beyond borders of Austria and Italy. More than 270.000 visitors are expected to join and taste the local specialities until 8th October.
What is all about?
During two next weeks all participating restaurants all over the country will be offering their special festival menus. Other events like cook shows, food tastings and special “festival dinners” will be organised in selected restaurants and some even in the centre of towns.
Participating restaurants have been evaluated and they guarantee excellent quality food, so no fear to be disappointed. To avoid the crowds, it si advised to book your table in advance.
What about the price?
The best thing about the festival is that you can try excellent food and pay less. With Festival Restaurant Club Card you will pay up to 50 % less for selected menus and up to 25 % less for food and drinks. This card will cost you 10 €, you can use it for 2 people and it is valid during the festival until 8th October. You can buy the card in most of the restaurants and selected shops around Slovenia.
